Simon/Claire what a lovely email to receive. Apologies for not replying sooner, but technical IT challenges have got in the way. It took a short break with my family – especially my children – to fix them for me and I am now properly back online! I hope to be in your area on or around Tuesday 14th July – it’s likely to change, naturally, but probably not by too much. I’d love to meet you, and to accept every one of your generous offers! All the best. Ed x

Hello Edward – read your article in the Telegraph with great interest and love to know how you’re getting on cycling round Britain’s coast. Coincidentally I’m scouting for accommodation for a man who’s walking anti-clockwise around the UK for an educational charity to help children understand the dangers of drugs more: http://www.walkthe kingdom.co.uk. Perhaps you’ll meet half-way round and exchange stories? Or even now offer some moral support to each other – you’re both going alone for causes you’re passionate about. Maybe you could contact me? I’ll also give you a few names and addresses of great b&b places and hotels, who’ve given hospitality for free. Look fwd to hearing from you but meanwhile, hope all’s going well on your lighthouse tour. Sorry we missed you in Eastbourne – we didn’t know about it! best wishes, jean
Oh yes, do stay in touch. It would be great to swap stories and tips! All the best. Ed
Hi Ed,
I’m writing a feature about the UK’s most beautiful lighthouses for the BT.com website, and I’d like to mention your journey in it. When do you think you’ll finish, and which lighthouses are the most beautiful you’ve seen? I’ll need your reply by the morning of Thursday 6 August to be able to use it.
I hope you see this in time, and well done you!!
Cheers, Lisa.
